Always think of what your readers will want to hear about, reposting the same text, image or link is boring and will switch off your readers attention pretty quickly. Instead try to come up with humourous, attention grabbing statuses that make your readers take notice and want to find out more.

There’s nothing worse than being at a party and getting stuck in the corner with someone who only talks about themselves. Only posting about your own business on your page is kind of the same. Fortunately its easy to create engagement on your page – ask a question, post a fill in the blank sentence, post an unusual photo, create a discussion topic. And join in on the conversation, reply to people’s comments individually, or ‘like’ the comments you agree with.

It’s great to do a shout out for another business page but avoid tagging a whole string of pages – particularly if they’re competitors.

Talk to your readers, if they post on your wall acknowledge them, if they message you through the page reply, if they comment on your posts answer them, everyone likes to feel welcome and a part of the community.
